Data from PlusDocs reveals the best and worst states for starting salaries in big tech, by examining 14,000 job listings on Glassdoor for ten major technology companies based in the U.S., with job listings for positions including software engineers, data analysts, content writers and more.

California is the best state for big tech starting salaries, with an average starting salary of $147,225. The average starting salary for the top ten states is $110,000. 

Hawaii is the worst state for big tech starting salaries, with an average starting salary of $31,000. The average starting salary for the bottom ten states is $41,452.
