The cost of living is not getting any cheaper, and wages don't typically pace the rate of inflation. Unsurprisingly, workers are prioritizing not only competitive pay but also benefits that ease some of their financial burdens.

In response, employers are paying more and more attention to financial wellness. In fact, according to Bank of America, 97% of employers now feel responsible for their employees' financial well-being. However, some companies are light years ahead when it comes to creating truly valuable compensation packages.

Employer data and analytics company Comparably ranked companies with 500 or more employees based on their total compensation packages, including salaries, raises, benefits and bonuses. The top companies were determined using 20 million anonymous ratings from employees at 70,000 U.S. and Canadian-based companies over the last year.

"At Comparably, we define 'best compensation' as more than just the highest salary," says Chad Herring, chief human resources officer of ZoomInfo, Comparably's parent company. "The most praised employers are those that not only offer competitive pay but also prioritize their employees' well-being with benefits such as wellness programs, mental health and fertility support, paid family leave, unlimited paid time off, fully covered health insurance and even perks like pet insurance."

Notably, tech companies continued to dominate the list, although Google and Meta did not reach the top 10, and Microsoft didn't even make the list this year — meanwhile, newcomers to Comparably's compensation rankings like Paycom and Salesforce placed in the top five.

Here are the 10 best companies for compensation, alongside anonymous employee reviews for their respective companies, according to Comparably.
