Employees are getting more comfortable asking for the benefits they want to see from their employers — and they're starting to get bold and creative.
Employees' commitment to the merging of work and life has never been more obvious than it is today. Telehealth benefits and gym subscriptions were tame demands in comparison to the new wave of workplace perks employees have in mind. One thing is for sure: employers have their work cut out for them.

A new poll commissioned by software company Trusaic and conducted by market research and data analytics firm YouGov list non-traditional benefits employees would most like to see their companies offer. Roughly 59 million Americans listed "hangover leave" as their top benefit, with another 44 million requesting time off to mourn a breakup.
The list goes on to include paid hair dyeing for aging employees, social media detox days and even paid premium subscriptions to the dating app of their choice. But are employers desperate enough to attract and retain talent that they would consider implementing any one of these? Only time will tell.
