There are 35 million digital nomads worldwide as of 2024 — 47% of whom are American — according to business insights platform DemandSage. Vacation rental search engine Bluepillow developed a Digital Nomad Index Score, to reveal the top 10 destinations for those workers based on factors like the number of free WiFi hotspots and the number of coworking spaces, as well as state and national park coverage and crime rates.
