Velents AI, an artificial intelligence-backed hiring platform, recently conducted research to rank the most in-demand AI careers using the
"Tech jobs are still desirable and there is still tremendous opportunity," Michael Gibbs, the CEO of Go Cloud Careers, a global organization that provides training for elite cloud computing careers, recently told EBN. "While it may appear that there were many job losses in tech, it's not the case. The [past] layoffs are a minimal number compared to the number of technology professionals."

The AI research scientist position topped Velents AI's list with 17,940 available positions on Glassdoor, with an average salary of $132,000 and a 42% interest rise in this AI career over the course of the year. Machine learning engineers came in second with 6,817 available vacancies on Glassdoor and an average yearly salary of $160,000. AI engineers came in third place with 4,352 available jobs and a substantially lower salary than the first two at $105,000.
Prompt engineers — people that structure text so that it can be interpreted and understood by a generative AI model — have the highest average yearly salary at $300,000, but it landed low on the list at sixth place for its lack of availability, with only 2,123 available
"In today's job market, it will be crucial for applicants to stay competitive by considering reskilling or upskilling in areas related to AI," BizReport project manager Young Pham recently told EBN. "The data clearly shows an increasing demand for professionals with expertise in AI, and individuals can boost their chances at breaking into the workforce by acquiring these skills."
