(Bloomberg) – The California Public Employees’ Retirement System, the largest U.S. pension fund, named Marcie Frost, 51, as its new chief executive officer.

Frost most recently served as executive director of the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems and will start with Calpers, which oversees about $301 billion, on Oct. 3, replacing Anne Stausboll, who retired at the end of June, according to a statement Thursday.
