Buissereth says Morgan Stanley leaders will be joined by guest speakers from other financial institutions, with a few celebrity appearances. Former professional golfer, Cheyenne Woods, plans to share how her experiences as an athlete have shaped her approach to life, wellness and financial planning. Dolvett Quince, a trainer from the television show “The Biggest Loser,” will discuss how physical health impacts mental and financial wellness.
Studies show financial wellness benefits have a positive impact on employee well-being. A survey of more than 1,200 workers found that 82% of employees who were participating in financial wellness programs felt more confident and knowledgeable about their money management, according to
Many of Morgan Stanley’s sessions will be dedicated to helping employees make the most of their current financial wellness programs, and help employers discover which ones their workforce needs.
“We want to ensure employers have access to these tools and education so they can maximize their workplace benefits,” Buissereth says.
So far, Morgan Stanley’s event has about 10,000 attendees. Employers and their employees can register online for free and will have access to session recordings for the next month. The event kicks off on Tuesday at noon Eastern Standard Time.
